Asbestos Symptoms of Mesothelioma Lawsuit

Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer that can be simply defined as a malignancy in the mesothelium. Mesothelium is the protective tissue that is present as a lining on the outer surface of vital internal organs of the body including lungs, heart and abdomen.

There are three major types of Mesothelioma including epithelioid type, sarcomatoid type and mixed or biphasic type. While the Mesothelioma occurring in the pleural tissue of lung is called pleural Mesothelioma, the one occurring in the abdominal peritoneum is called peritoneal Mesothelioma.

The most predominant cause of Mesothelioma is getting exposed to asbestos. According to research, people who are employed as factory workers, miners, insulation manufacturers, railroad workers, ship builders, gas mask manufacturers and construction workers have the highest incidence of Mesothelioma. These employees can file a lawsuit against the company if the company values its profits more than human lives.

Diagnosis of Mesothelioma is difficult because most of its symptoms are similar to various other diseases. Pleural Mesothelioma have symptoms found during respiratory diseases including chest and back pain, difficulty in swallowing, impaired breathing, persistent cough, fever, nausea and weight loss. Peritoneal Mesothelioma symptoms include swelling of the abdomen, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, swollen feet, irregular bowels and vomiting.
